BULLDOGS UNLEASHED - HISTORY BOOK
BULLDOGS UNLEASHED - HISTORY BOOK

Bulldogs Unleashed  Discover the stories from the last 6 decades of the South Fremantle Football Club Covering the history from 1960-2020 Testimonials - Hear it direct from Club identities Peter Christie: The book for me clarified many of the significant events and special characters of the more recent Bulldogs history, many of which I remember so well. This is a compelling read for the fanatical Bulldog family, or even those footy lovers who want to acquaint themselves with some of the great stories from our club. Mal Brown: Congratulations Ray Wilson for a great job. The book features the inside stories on most things you’d ever want to know about the South Fremantle Football Club’s characters who made headlines from 1960-2020. All the controversies (surprisingly, and of course incorrectly, I rated a mention or two) and the events that made Souths so respected and exciting to watch. I’d urge supporters who haven’t got a copy to go down to the club and buy one. Spread the word. Enjoy. Toby McGrath: Ray has created a truly outstanding book capturing the remarkably rich history of South Fremantle Football Club in all its glory. It is an amazing read on the people and players that have made SFFC the successful organisation it is today. Brian Ciccotosto: Every proud South Fremantle supporter should have a copy of Bulldogs Unleashed tucked away in their family home.  It recalls 60 years of not only historical data but also events which guided the club through the financial crisis of the late 1980s; exploits of some of football’s most controversial characters; the joy of watching Toddy and Gero in the 1960s; the outstanding impact our Aboriginal footballers had Australia-wide and the work of so many unsung heroes. And there’s a lot more. Tom Grljusich: I really enjoyed this book. It brought back some great memories of some of our wonderful champions of the game and their colourful stories. It’s a great read, and I really urge Bulldog supporters to buy a copy to learn more about our rich history. Noel Carter: Such a casual but informative read. It’s a ripper. I keep it handy as I like to have a Bulldog “hit” now and again. Tommy Bottrell: Bulldogs Unleashed is a fantastic recount of our history from 1960-2020. Rather than being a standard history book of year-by-year results and statistics, this edition showcases stories of some of the absolute heroes of my childhood including Stephen Michael and Noel Carter. It’s a fantastic read for died-in-the-wool Bulldogs fans as well as lovers of WA football.
